I talked all the way through, with the NPC - cook and the NPC - blacksmith.
I got an "achievement" stating:
Village of Survivors - Talk to the villagers
Now it states that I have to "talk to the elders".
Where do I find this one.
Because the box with this text stays on my screen. Even if I use F10 and miniturise it and put it behind something else. next time I log on, it is back at its origional place.
So either I have to "talk to the elders" or be told how to make that box go away (and no, it does not have a "delete X" in the corner)
