Free alpha invite?

Post by Lupusss » 19 Sep 2014, 19:18

Hi There,

I have played a LOT of one of the older versions of ultima online on a shard called Neverlands. Having played a wide variety of games in my life, I could safely assume that experience on my top 3 with games ever.

I have looked around profusely for a new rpg that would suit my uo like, and I have never found one. I have HATED ALL OF THEM.

Today, for my surprise, I saw LiF on Steam. I have watched a few videos and around 1 hour of gameplay footage on youtube.I'm not really sure I like it, also because now I don't have the same ammount of time I had when I was 13 or 15.

I'm really curious to see how is this game rolling, but I don't have the financial means to spend R$ 80 bucks or something (the local price on steam for Brazil) with it. I have a lot of experience with what, it seems, you intend to do and I LOVE it! Since those good ultima online times, I have also gathered as a hobby some knowledge with game design.

Is there any way I could get a 3-day-acess or something, or maybe even a free pass? I'm willing to help, and I may be passionate when I see it.

Thanks a lot

We are sorry, but there is no free demo of the game available at the moment.

There are a lot of Life is Feudal gameplay videos on youtube and some streamers on twitch, so you can check these out if you want to observe how the gameplay looks. :) You might even find some player-made video tutorials.

well, I could bring at least 10paying friends if I had an invite for sure, cause I'm reference for some people on games.
but I suppose life is feudal.

You can just wait your time until game is out. There is a free2play island where you can try anything out. Now it's alpha and if you're short on money.. wait.

That newbie island will be available in MMO in form of a game demo, with lots of restrictions and limitations. Mainly just to take a look how the game looks from the inside and how controls work.

Unsure with the MMO. They have mentioned the MMO will be region split, so server farms on different continents. Haven't heard anything specific about South America.

That said with LiF: YO, servers are both official and player run. There are servers popping up based all over the World and there is surely one out there that is close to you and you will get a good connection to (or if not, maybe you and your friends can run the Brazil server!)
Sometimes reading forums or global chat is like reading a book called "Baby's First Game Test". Does no one understand the concept of early access alpha testing? I swear, 'some people's children...'

So what are you doing in your free time? Get a job.

As said for the YO-Version you can create your own server. I read some time ago there is another sea cable been built between brazil and europe. So you can play on europe servers when we are asleep.

Dude the minimum wage here is around R$750, so this game is very expensive..
I'm creating a company, and all my budget is directed towards that. R$ 80 bucks can bring more than 1.000 people to my website through cpc ads x)

Anyway, I don't think I'll have enough time to actually play this like it would probably demand.. I'd have immense pleasure to help on alpha with suggestions and my experience, but that's all, and I wouldn't pay for it.

Good luck.
