Hey guys having fps issues here:

I have a ASUS ROG g750 gaming laptop
- Core i7-4700HQ @2.4Ghz
-Gefore GTX 765m
-8 GB RAM

I consider this a fairly decent system, ~1200$ laptop, I can play tons of games at high settings.

When playing this game I get 60fps when on an island but when looking inland, the frame rate is terrible I think due to all the trees?

I have tried putting everything on lowest settings and at 1920x1080 and 1600x900 I still get lag when looking around and it is gamebreaking for me to not have smooth gameplay.

Is my system just not strong enough for this game? or is the game not optimized yet? Because its pretty unplayable and Im not going to play this game at 1280x720 at low settings that's ridiculous I can play nice games on this system..

Ya the trees are a major source of lag for some reason. Probably an optimization issue.
