Do you consider the game currently playable? (straw poll)

Do you consider LiF to be playable in its current state? Or do you think it is not worth playing at the moment due to bugs, crashes, servers being down, etc?

I know there are planned patches for crashes etc but I would like to see what the community thinks so far.

In it's current state it's playable. There are dead ends with the crafting mechanics, but those will be reported, if not already known and on the to do list.

Is it enjoyable?

At around 13:30 local time yesterday I started watching Geekdomo play this game on his server that he and a few others spent 18 hours setting up. Within the hour I was subscribed to his channel and playing on the same server listening to the feed which didn't stop barring server crashes, until, well I forget but it was a while and then it was handed over to a channel partner who continued the game play.

There's something about the game in its current and possibly retail state that grips you. You could spend 12 hours flattening the ground for you to start working on a farm the next day, or you and ten people can work 12 hours and will really depend on the level of focus they give a project, regardless of the current code state.

Are there bugs? Yes. Are there crashes? Yes. Is there a need to balance the early stages and extend the middle/late stage? Of course. I hope the devs fix the current bugs rather than introduce new content first. Fix the bugs, extend the tool base. Extend the tool base, fix the bugs, extend the game mechanics, fix the bugs, balance - shouldn't touch the code, which is nice.

Too long didn't read?

Fair enough - Yes it's playable, but the dead ends may be frustrating to many. Write up the reports for what you find, let the devs know.

It depends on the way you look at it. You can have fun for a bit, but after a while bugs and glitches just make the progress impossible so its a maybe playable I guess.

With the servers in their current state? no way. i've restarted about 6 times now, and as much as i want to get to some of the late content, i just don't have the motivation after 26 hours of starting, restarting, and starting again to keep attempting.....

Yeah, I would say so. But I wouldn't consider combat playable.
