Devs already know about this and there's been multiple threads on the subject. You're not alone.

If you switch to "friend" tab quickly when you pop up the browser window, you should be able to switch back shortly after without any of the severe lag issues.

Or just tab out and let it do its thing for a few minutes.

OR memorize the IP of your server of choice, open the console and type

joinToRemoteServer("IP:PORT","PASSWORD")

(if no password use "") (credit to the GM command thread)

And use meaningful topic titles in the future, pretty please.
