Weird Tunneling

Post by Reese » 25 Sep 2014, 17:54

Heyo,
Thought I would try and grab some info before reporting as a bug.

In my mine, after the third or forth layer, When i use "Mine Downwards" it always just mines straight. Has anyone else had these issues?

Could it be related to a crossing tunnel shaft above or near the block I am trying to mine out?

Side question: Anyone figured out how to delete tunnel blocks from the database?

I don't know if you can "delete" blocks, from my experience deleting things from the database leads to bad results.

However, this might be caused by water being near the block and the system trying to prevent you from falling through the terrain into nothingness.

Played around a bit. Have yet to figure out a pattern.

Was 6 blocks from water. Thought it might have something to do with the surface level above me but was able to tunnel downward in a nearby tile with same distance from the surface. Thought it could be a neighboring tile, but it happened again in a fresh tunnel.
