Naming and Shaming Announcement and Rules

Postby Saxxon » 28 Sep 2014, 04:57
Naming and shaming is not allowed in the forums or any sub forums of this site. Users are forbidden to post threads or discuss issues dealing with private servers, private server admins or players. These issues will be dealt with outside of any official Life is Feudal forums including our Steam forums or any other social media platform we host. Users violating this rule or any other rules regarding this forum will receive a warning and repeat offenders shall receive a ban.

"I assume you don't want any bug reports and crash reports from private servers either?"

Pretty disappointed because so far, you are basically alienating anybody not living in America (the continent, not the US of A) and Europe. Starting to feel like my purchase of this game has been a mistake, considering there are abusive admins, a toxic community and Developers/Staff who push anything about their game that is not happening on official servers away from them. So much about the "Your Own" part in Life is Feudal. To me, life seems pretty futile today. Ba dum tss. No but seriously. im not gonna alpha test the game for 40 bucks if all i get for it is a bunch of censorship. sorry.

You are suggesting that the devs should take responsibility for the infantile behavior of people they have never met and have no control what so ever over?

I see. If you were asking for an official server closer to your country this probably isnt the most constructive way yo go about it.

Good luck with it though.

No, im suggesting that this is the official forum and you should be allowed to talk about any aspect of the game, like in every other forum too. I absolutely understand the shaming part, but mentioning a private server, trying to find people to play on it or asking the community for tech support should not be included in that, and the wording of Saxxon is not very clear about that. I mean you cant promote having a private server on the official website while not allowing to talk about private servers on the official forum.

p.s.: im fed up with "asking" for servers near australia. game devs act like australia and south east asia isnt a thing. It took gaijin (russian developer, warthunder) more than 2 years to implement SEA servers. Its not profitable and thats why we don't have any servers. asking for it won't help

I don't know how you managed to interpret "you are basically alienating anybody not living in America (the continent, not the US of A) and Europe" from the "Naming and Shaming Announcement and Rules" for the forum, which is a very common rule on many official forums relating to games.

There are sub-forums for exactly this that already exist on these very forums. So Im going to go with they are okay with you posting there.

b101uk what i mean is that there are no official SEA servers and we can only use private servers which we can not talk about. so basically, i am not allowed to talk about anything that i experience within the game, because it happens on a private server.

Ravenclad well, then Saxxon needs to correct his initial post and be more clear. I am usually very particular with words, and for me "Users are forbidden to post threads or discuss issues dealing with private servers" means exactly that.

The SEA/Aus network for internet has always been garbage even on AAA title games (see: Dota 2 for example). That's a location issue in a smaller market. Condolences for not living in NA/EU because outside looking in I'd hate to be a gamer in that part of the world.

Lol way to over apply a rule. I can only assume you are trolling. The point of the rules is stop you from calling Joe smith on server awesomeness for being a griefer. It doesn't stop you from asking whether plants not growing on the server you're on is normal or a bug.

Pretty unnecessary over complication if you ask me. You think everyone here is playing on official servers? Lol

It's because of idiots like you that there are people on these forums who dislike us Aussies.
Get an education, and for god's sake someone delete this pointless thread so we can get back to discussing the game!

I really do not like where this is going. First of all, please, no name calling, this really is not necessary. Second thing, OP, you REALLY misunderstood Saxxon's thread. He wrote it to prevent shitstorm and namecalling due to abusive private servers admins etc. And honestly, I have absolutely no idea what-so-ever where did you get all that alienating part from.

Really, please.. Read and understand before coming to some strange conclusions. :( These attacks won't help anybody, I mean it.

I'm closing this thread, it's just not right at all.
