Hi, i just joined up but iv been watching these forums for awhile now, I have not found anything solid on a "Release date" could anyone shed some light (Or dark) on this situation? I really want to have a go at LIF.

wow last 2 threads here really quite epically misspelled their titles silly:

no release date yet, I don't even expect them to even announce one this year. maybe beta later this year is my optimistic guestimate.

I'd much rather not know the release date until its 100% confirmed to come out 100% ready. I can't stand how every MMO gives Q4 2013 or whatever date, then when it gets close to that time it gets pushed back. Then finally release comes and the game isn't ready, or the launch is terrible. The quality of the game at release is so important I don't understand how these companies can be okay doing this. Once a game fails at launch its tainted forever and will never get the players they lost at launch back.

Yeah but I think beta and release are two different things, I mean I agree with you, but if a company launches beta their are bound to be problems, but on the final release all of them are suppost to be cleared up. Besides having a launch date gets the developers to work hard to get it done by that time if theirs not one they just take their time and it could be finished 3 years from now, no offence to the developers meant just an example

I understand some of it is marketing but rushing launch and having it fail is bad buisness and loss of money.

The devs of this game work their ass of every day. for years now they have been creating their DREAM. so even if you said that as a joke its not funny at all.

I dont think he ment this game because you cant pre-order LIF, but the truth is many games do that, Duke Nukem to name one of many.
