I am very new to this game, only played it for a few hours on a server I hosted locally.

I am looking for a Server to join with a community feel as it doesn't feel like the kind of game you can play without a group.

Are there any servers out there in the process of building up a town etc that needs a extra set of hands?

on server #10 there are a bunch of groups building towns and all of them friendly.

Thanks, although the official servers don't appear to be very stable at the moment so I was thinking more of a dedicated hosted server.

You can try The Ravens Brood, Texas, Dallas server. Not a lot of PVP going on, but it does exist.
