Everyone is talking about it, but I cannot find a action for it. Middle mouse button does nothig for me. I cannot seem to do it even if the shield is the only thing I have equipped.

When you have your shield out, you must also have a weapon out at the same time. Hold the right mouse button down, then left click. Your guy MIGHT do a tiny animation, the animation is bugged sometimes, but your guy will still do it.
You cannot bash another person who also has a shield, unless your bashing from behind.

Thanks. I figured it out- you can't have a 1.5h sword, even when it's on your back. You need a 1h sword.

Just a bonus question, will a shield on your back mitigate damage in both out of and in combat stance?
