It's a shame because it does look good, besides the 25% benefit.


I haven't sent in a ticket because I wasn't sure if the issue was something that BFS can solve. It sounds like a game issue to me.

Roads are black for me, too. It's annoying... Tried renaming the file, but it doesn't work. It appears that some people don't have the problem, some people do.

Anything else I can try?

We have found that this is indeed a dev bug issue, but it could also be related to certain placement or the need for a database wipe. Sometimes an old database can cause this problem but we see it rarely. If you would like to try a new world, we can still keep your old world and switch back once you confirmed the new world works or just leave you on the new world.

Let us know how you would like to proceed.

Its a database structure problem, it seams were going to have to wipe each update to get the fixes and ushc. If so this is gonna suck, added to the fact this database structure is prone to corruption, really no point in playing untill the get it sorted out D: .

Did someone try dumping the DB, cleaning, letting the game recreate it and importing the saved table entries?

Can't be done, there are interdependancy lists between tables, and other crap, it's a big no no in databases but the dev team seams sold on this format. So until such time as they un@#$% the database there is no way to export any single portion of the save. It's all or nothing, unless you do it manually, perhaps?

I think I'll just keep my server as is. I don't see the point in players losing progress because a single section on the map is bugged/corrupt and shows the roads as black. The roads still function with the 25% increase in speed.

Today I learned that foreign keys are a big no no in databases.

On a slightly less snarky-asshole note, mysqldump can backup individual tables, ignoring all constraints in the process if you let it. FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS/UNIQUE_CHECKS are a thing.

Good day. Help change the texture of the road. On our server, they are black, say sector 450. As I understand it the height of the marshes in this sector more and it blurs the jigsaw pattern regular road. Also there are 2 black road sector. The server will soon be 3 months. Do not want to do a wipe, I want to fight for another server. Thanks in advance.
