Hello i just bought LiF yesterday. I installed it and when i clicked play it had the first time setup window pop up. Then it goes to an error message saying: "Unable to load game library: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Life is Feudal Your Own\Yo_cm_client.dll.
Please make sure it exists and the latest DirectX is installed. Win error: (14001) The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

This is the only game ive had a problem with starting on steam. i have the latest DirectX and i uninstalled my c++ yesterday all of them then redowloaded them and still have this problem. i had this side by side error with MSI afterburner as well but i deleted that a while ago. Please help i need an answer cause this game looks awesome and i really want to play.

Thanks for replying. I uninstalled my C++ before installing the packages you linked and it still gives me the error. any other suggestions you have?

I am getting the same problem on my Windows 2008 R2 64-Bit

Got DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) . Anything that I am missing here.

Dependency Walker only show errors with: QTCORE4.DLL and QTNETWORK.DLL
Modules with Different CPU type was found.
