Just created a dedicated server, fixed all the port forwarding problems still can not connect. My friend and i got the server to show up in the in-game menu but when we try to connect it wont go past "waiting for server". stays there indefently, doesnt time out, any idea what is going on?

On first connect it takes a little longer to connect the server. When you create the server it is effectively in a 'starting up' or 'waiting for players to connect' status. When a player connects it will complete the process and create the session completely.

Keep trying is all I could say, otherwise, it may still be a problem with your router.

ok i have let it go for 30 minutes. About how long should this take for the first person to connect?

Not sure, I normally leave it a few minutes and then reconnect when its just me.

We did that today aswell for testing purposes and i guess you did the same errors as we did with either not a complete DB or something similar, but it sounds more like a port forward problem....did you test the ports on port test sites? Did you open both, TCP and UDP?

The first connection and loading screen should not be that long on a fresh server.

i followed all the directions in that video i dont know what is wrong with it, it shows up and everything and my port forwarding seems ok lol
