Help with reproducing Chickens/Hares

Post by Robin » 06 Nov 2014, 22:07

Hello,

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but basically I can't maintain the population inside a coop.

For example I add 10 chickens to the coop with 4-5 types of food. when I check them again they are all at age 9 with 1 born chicken!?

How can I improve the reproduction rate in coops?

it is broken atm sorry friend. should hopefully be fixed soon.

weather is a modifier for breeding rates. But even spamming weather changes in gm mode every growth cycle doesn't really improve the breeding rate. So yeah its broken.

Not sure if there is a way to improve the breeding rate of the chickens and hares. Just have to keep slaughtering and replacing them.

There is a small chance during a certain age, I think around 7, that they will breed during.

So keep up the snares for them and do not forget to clean the coops for exp.
It does not matter who is the strongest fighter, just the last one standing.

hopefully they fix it soon, i need those chickens to get feathers, and i don't want to set up snares all the time.

The last week I've placed my snares always on high QL soil (90+-100), and the animals I got from those snares had a high starting QL - above 80, which raised in the coop up to 95 -100...and with those high QL animals I had a slightly increased breeding rate. But sadly not enough to keep the coop self reproducing while adding only a new animal here and there manually...

Not sure about game mechanics but it doesnt make sense. Imho chicken and hare quality depend on snare quality and hunting skill level. Higher quality animals live longer, so have more chances to reproduce.
