Could someone please provide simple instructions for how to unban someone. I am still very new to the server side of things and I am having a lot of trouble with it. Everything I have read says to open the database and set isactive to 1 in the accounts tab, but I am having trouble accessing it.

Just to make sure, are you unable to actually open the database or is it that you dont know how to open it?

I use Heidisql 5.5 to access the sql tables, there is one in there called "characters" or something like that. That is the one where you set isactive from 0 to 1.

Hi, i have banned my brother on accident and have no idea how to unban him from my server. Please let me know exactly how i can rectify this mistake.
Please take into consideration that i have no idea how to edit sql files, as this is all i keep seeing and reading about.
This was a genuine mistake and the work that we have both put in to this server and game is too much to lose.
