ETA for LIF: MMO?

Been following this game for a long time, interested in buying LIF: YO but for the main purpose of eventually playing the MMO version which has more interest to me than the player limitations of YO.

So what is the current ETA on the MMO release?

Last time I heard, End of spring / summer beginning -> Pre-alpha tests coming back (only accessible for yellow named people on the forums) ;

Summer end -> Open Alpha (beta ?)
End of the year -> release.

Note that this may be false.. Bobik should answer himself should he find the time, and.. should he have a response at all.

Those were the times.

But they were described as optimistic wishes, and there was a disclaimer that predictions at this point are too early and undoubtedly inaccurate.

Though an MMO is being made, do you think it's possible to have this kind of game on that scale? Terra forming and digging an entire world? I'm soo nervous about it I hope they provide some updates regarding it in the future. So much potential though.

It was already done in the past : WURM online is a MMO that's pretty much same game than LiF on building & terraforming & crafting matters. Worlds are very massive, so there's plenty of space, and also, EVERYTHING regenerates with time : rock and minerals are regenerated by cavins, sand in regenerated near major water bodies (oceans most of the time), and terrain regains its natural look thanks to random terraforming events in unpopulated area, and regrowth of trees, plants, and repopulation of animals. LiF will be a bit different in that matter : the only ressource that will regenerate will be rock.

The yellow name comes from being an early supporter (someone who donated money before LIF:YO was released). I just barely made the cut-off. ;)

So the people who shelled out 30 or 40 bucks for YO get shafted on playing the MMO, we just get some currency... I'd rather have access to the MMO, maybe a bit after the yellow names do or something?

Was it during when LiF was on kickstarter or something or what? Did you pledge like 100 bucks lol?

We deal with so many games on a weekly basis, I don't know how this one skipped my attention as long as it did, but I certainly regret it.

I know the Cloth Cap Games group will end up discussing this one quite a bit in the next several weeks.
I keep picturing where this game Could go if the focus between PvE and PvP can be accomplished fairly, and the world maps can be expanded to significantly 'explorable' scale.
