Patch priorities : POLL

I think LiF:YO is losing player base slowly overtime because the game as it stands gets to a point where you really have nothing to do, because you either Can make everything(and once you have a house/warehouse etc all your stuff is safe.

then comes the pvp aspect which of course needs tweaks for balancing but that can come a little down the road.

The CORE focus should only be on these first 3 things as follow to keep playability in the game.

**#1 Priority : GM Abilities - Add a feature to allow GM's to Restore tunnels to original state, or a Fill option to help with server load/issues.

#2 Priority : Siege - Allowing all constructable objects to be damaged(not destroyed). Once they lose all Hitpoints, they now will have open access to them by anyone. (Walls will go back to the stage of being unfinished, so players may cross over them) Buildings will catch fire and look run down but remain in place. (In order for them to restore access to walls/buildings they must be repaired via 1/4 of the resources it initially cost to build them. Once at 1/4 Resources, Walls will pop back up to being constructed (And slowly regenerate health over time, along with buildings access being converted back to previous permissions).

#3 Priority : Guilds - To Include customizable ranking system for members/leaders. To name ranks whatever they desire in their kingdom.

**Authority Access - Using the Authority skill that is already in the game, allowing the builder to set access to Anyone, Guild Members, or Building Owner(person who did final construction).

#4 Priority : Server Player Cap : Increase the server player limit to whatever the server owner would like to have. If they feel their server can handle 200 players. Let them, It will help determine load etc for future purposes anyways.

#5 Priority : Horses/Cows - Introduce horses for travel purposes / Fighting purposes / Moving Carts/Usable objects to help with trades/crops.

If you do just those first #3 priorities, right off the bat and drop focus on other things atm. You will have a playable game where you have something to constantly do/worry about. Then from that point, you can optimize the game, slowly add other features etc(Like dumb emotes lol) but the game will be completely playable at that point. Kingdom's will thrive, and players won't get bored of the game and stop playing, it will continue the addiction and the game will excel that much quicker.

I understand these things cannot happen over night, it's alot of coding. But don't try to do 150 projects at once, Focus on a few small important things now, and then go into everything else after you have re-playability.

I would like to hear the communities thoughts on my opinions as well. Please try to stay on topic as well.

Before any of this is implemented, they need to fix the growth cycle lag and the mining problem.

Currently if you have 50+ players on your server and they are all mining, it will only take about a week for your servers load in time to shoot up to about 15 minutes, if not less time and it just gets worse from there, this is why servers that have high pops last about 2 weeks then have to wipe.

Yes, Thus if they add a feature for filling tunnels, it will help remedy that problem for the time being. (growth cycle isn't too bad)

Tunnels are an immediate problem, I don't like how you have your tunnel lag solution set to priority #5

If this were a new features priority list I would agree but for overall priorities I disagree in some fields.

Likely due to the fact you aren't asking folks what in their mind should be the priority, but rather full agree, disagree, or unsure.

Most polls, and the most successful, gives people who are voting real choices. As in:

Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Option 4
Option 5

Then the body of your post being the description of those options, what in your opinion are the "priorities."

It's a fail poll due to the design, and the reader's complete disregard to not being given a true option, but forced to adopt the poster's opinion, and not have one of their own.

Not really. Because you can easily make a reply and discuss things (aka your opinion).

And if you disagree with the order of them, or whatever discuss that. Those are the choices, you either agree that these items need to be a priority....(not the order they are listed in, just the First 3 items being tackled) or you don't. It's not a fail poll, you just don't know how to comprehend clearly.

And you place blame upon the Poll's reader for the failure to comprehend... So again, a failed poll.

Nope, just on you for not knowing how to comprehend a thread. Then trying to troll it with a dumbass reply such as that. If you don't have input as to the Priorities listed, or whatever order you think they should be, or anything related to the topic, Don't reply...very simple.

How is giving constructive criticism a troll now? Defensive much? You asked why you had so many views, but so few votes, and so I gave you my opinion on why that was. Don't ask a question you don't want answers to, very simple.

So, a month ago I started a similar thread, that actually allowed other players to provide their thoughts.

I would fix the guilds system first then everything else. having only one person with access to gates, keeps, etc is very problematic. i agree with the rest.

Since I don't agree with all of your choices or the priority you assign to those that I do agree with, I did not vote.

As was mentioned before, a priority poll should allow voters to pick their priority from a list of poll topics, not be required to agree or disagree with a set priority.

Server crashes caused by memory leaks, or whatever it is (that aren't attributable to the physical host, basically buggy / unoptimized gameserver code) should be priority #1.

It is not acceptable that servers are basically forced to wipe due to performance issues after a few months
