Forest Problems

Step1: Tree decay , After seeing how trees repop them selves and take about 5 days to grow. After 4 weeks of play you go from 100k trees to 350k trees. Those trees need to decay after 15 days. #1 this keeps the tree count down . #2 it keeps us planting and growing our own trees. #3 server lag and load time is down.
Also need to add stump decay.

The auto stump remover on server reboot is needed as a standard. But decay would be very nice.

Same with logs in my opinion, logs stacked to the roof never having to worry about them dwindling.

But seriously if they could be stacked propetly then decaying tree logs that were cut down but never used would be good.

I wouldn't go with tree decay as most of these self seeded trees have a poor quality even when dropped from 100Q trees.

Maybe a MAX cap of trees that is set by the server administrator. They would just stop planting on their own after the cap is reached but players still could manually plant their own.

I like this idea so much.

If the log is not touched at some point, it's poofed. Must be picked up and placed or it erases on next restart.

That'd be a pretty cool script - there are some potential negative consequences to deleting items from mySQL - we encountered some 'remnants' of objects deleted from the database. They are there but cannot be interacted with at all.
