Seems like you have either a corrupted file, or possibly corrupted RAM (either memory stick or Video RAM on your vid card).
As suggested, re-install. That doesn't fix, use one of the multitude of Registry cleaner programs. Still no go, that start to point more towards video or RAM issues. There are some RAM checker programs out there, I know the one Microsoft had out a few years ago worked pretty well. Doesn't fix anything, but tells you that you have an issue.
Video card issues, eh, hard to troubleshoot without a bench test.
