Move out grants a speed boost that can be repeatedly used. Our server implements a cool down on this ability to prevent abuse

I think its safe to say that the balancing stage of combat is a bit of a ways off.

They need to add all the missing combat elements first.

But yeah, this shit has been broke since Day1 of early access.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this myself. Can you provide any type of insight with how that was implemented?

It's just carebears who can't handle fast fight. They would rather it be slow and everyone stand there so they can land a hit. I hope they keep it in and I hope they add an official server or release the MMO so nobody has to deal with the carebears anymore

I lol'ed.

You don't have to be a carebear to want not-shit combat. Move out makes you move ridiculously quick, can be used solo, and *should* be used solo.

It undermines the entire concept of formation based combat.

I don't have any problems with the skill itself, but when you hear "Move out" 10 times while in the middle of combat it just sorta ruins it and is obvious it needs some sort of delayed cool down. Even if it was just 60 seconds.

You're retarded if you think this is why people don't want this skill.
Move out gives you a speed boost and in a game where speed is everything, it completely breaks balance. It's impossible to lose a fight if you have move out and the other guy doesn't.

Plz grow a brain.
I'd undertand why retards would want ths skill to stay tho, makes it easier to beat people when you can outrun them everytime. Feels like a carebear mechanic to use move out actually.

And everyone can use this skill. SO it's their fault for not using it. Go troll elsewhere noob.

Yes - ask your server owner / admin to go see the cm_skilltypes.xml file - should be there somewhere

Example with 5 min timer
Code: Select all
       </ability>
        <ability lvl="90" name="Move" id="125">
        <duration const="">0</duration>
        <ability_skill_mult>300</ability_skill_mult>
        <enable_movement>1</enable_movement>
        <icon>art\2D\skills\abilities\order_move.png</icon>
        <entities>
        </entities>
        <requirements>
<req type="warstance">only</req>
        </requirements>
        <results>
<cooldowns>
      <cooldown group="orders">10</cooldown>
      <cooldown group="global">0.5</cooldown>
       <cooldown group="moveout">300</cooldown>
</cooldowns>
        </results>
        </ability>

I agree to with some cooldown or at least tweak. I don't think that dev's want this type of fighs.

So you created a separate cooldown group for it - instead of using the cooldown for all the orders. Smart! It would be wise to create a cooldown for "hold your ground" as well - something like 20-30 seconds to stop the hold your ground stack abuse

You can't stack hold your grounds effect. If it's already on you, reactivation provides no effect.

There's a bug where you can pass around the group leadership, all activate circle formation & then all of you can do "Hold your ground". If 3+ people do it you take zero damage.

You sure that effect is cumulative?
I remember having tested that in the past, and it had no effect beyond the first stand your ground.

If so, have you submitted it to Mantis?
