Post by antonio70 » 12 May 2015, 19:15

Hello,
Is safe to edit this file (without any futher changes in other files or database) some times to execute some skill like uprooting?
It is only server change or also client?

I have it on server. Is it enough? Editting this file on server no need any other changes somewhere else?

skill_types.xml is mostly server based..
if you change the uproot time on the server, the client doesnt need to change it ...

but it is always good, if u share the files on the client too...

if they dont match, the player sees "other settings" that the server has... so some misunderstandings are poosible...

very importand if you change object stuff (in the database).. then the object_types.xml must also be changed... (and the client need this file)

Is any option to auto-download edited files to client when he connect to my server? or i must share it on web to my clients?
And If yes, what will happen to new player who don't have this modified files.

there is no AUTO function...

the player need to download it....

if they dont have the files... they see other stuff then the server has..

example...

storage from the chest is in the database 100000
storage in the client file is 500

the player sees 500 but the real storage is 10000
