I just bought a server and have the server running on my steam account on the VNC. When I try to log on via my actual computer to play on my server it says i cant. So do I have to buy another copy of the game? How do I fix this

Try closing steam.exe via task manager, and after launching it again you should be able to connect to your own server.

Are you running dedicated version of the server? Because built in game server doesn't work as intended. Install and run dedicated server. Here is a guide how to do that. Guide
