Question about tanning tube

Hey guy's, i have a little problem here, we have build 5 tanning tubes, and as soon as i finish to get my animal lore up to 60, i but some Flaxe stem in it. But the tubes do not finish the tanning proces, i now wait 3 rl day's. So my qustion is, is this normal or is there a bug? I hope you can help me.
