Trouble getting dedicated Server running:

Post by Nhall » 15 Oct 2014, 13:53

Hello,

I'm currently trying to get a dedicated server up and running, the problem is that I can see in on the list in the server browser nor connect to it via the 'direct connect' button. It can be connected to via console command.

The server was set up per the available guide. I have TCP/UDP ports 28000-28003 open and ports 26001 - 26003 open. No firewall is running on the server but it is sitting behind a Sonicwall.

We also use NAT on the firewall to assign public IP's to the servers running on the machine. Could this be the problem? A port issue perhaps?

Any suggestions?

Mods if this is posted to the wrong place, I apologize and please move it.

U dont need to open ports 28000-28003 AND 26000-26003 the guide you talking about wrote(im sorry) an idiot with half knowledge or less.

Your server config tells you the port (default its 28000) THIS PORT +2 have to be opened, two examples:

example #1:
leave it default(i dont wann test this if u need to open UDP OR TCP ports,so just open em both for each port) open the following ports:
port:28000
port: 28001
port : 28002

example #2:
change it to:
port: 12345
port: 12346
port: 12347

No clue what that sonic wall might do there :D If it is something like a Firewall u might to forward/give those ports access as well.
