Hello all, I would recommend registering at http://www.militarygamers.com if you're current or former US Military.

Otherwise we operate http://www.silversunrepublic.com as a supporters, family, friends and foreign allies community.

We used to integrate foreign allies in with MilitaryGamers.com, but we don't have a consolidated way to verify military service of foreign allies. If we did ask for formal ID then we'd have to maintain additional legal/privacy measures that we can't really justify keeping around for the small percentage of members we pick up from foreign allies.

I personally run Silver Sun Republic and I am Active Duty US Air Force and an officer/staff member of MilitaryGamers.com so we maintain a strong connection between the communities and actually share a TeamSpeak 3.

For various reasons we maintain the US Military niche at MiltaryGamers.com to include working with the gaming industry and because there are a lot of faker communities that claim to have full military membership bases only to turn out to be about 75% civilian.

Honestly, MG has been my lifeline back to the US while I'm deployed. It also helps to network and coordinate with active duty and vets who still have ties to other government agencies and active units. I've also had the chance to help dudes out who are coming down range and prepare them for the current situation so that they're better equipped to deal with the changing environment.

Not only that, but over the years we've served a veteran service organization connecting people to help with their VA claims, PCS moves, separation, disability issues and have saved lives by being there for those who are struggling with suicide or PTSD.

If you're current or former US military, the community is geared specifically towards you and not just using you to pad numbers or act like they're a veteran group; the group is no kidding 99.5% military with the .5% consisting of civilians or dependents who our members have gamed with their whole lives.
