2800 players - unplayable lag for me.

Post by Entspeak » 17 Dec 2017, 03:33

Things have been pretty smooth sailing for me in the game - a few crashes, some lag spikes, but... nothing too major. But, when I joined the NA server at Judgement Hour (ooooohhhh!) this evening, there were 2800 players. Absolutely unplayable. I happened to be on server 38 (I read in another post that there were battles going on.) I tried gathering some plant fiber and the guy would stand there for about 20 seconds before doing anything. And, if I had the action on repeat... it was the same thing... go down, pick up plant fiber... what was I doing? Where am I? Who am I? Oh, go down, pick up some plant fiber... stop... this isn't what I should be doing... oh, wait, yes, it is... ask me to do it again. What was that? Why am I looking at the ground? Oh, go down pick up some plant fiber. Then I tried to head out to go fishing, but... couldn't move farther than a few feet without rubberbanding back. :D

I know this is testing, so this is just a report on that.

Sorry for the crappy experience. We are constantly working on those issues - crashes, lags etc. It will get better, promise!

I get it. It's still a WIP and a pretty ambitious aim. I do wish that, being in the US, I still got between 10 and 50 ping on my FiOS fiber connection - as opposed to the 100-300, I currently get. But, I suppose that may improve over time as well.
