BetterLifeRP is an RP/PVP server for LiF: YO that requires a white-list to play. Members will have to make an application and then be accepted and have an interview on Team Speak before being white-listed to make sure you meet our age requirement and are the kind of member we would like in our community to make a great game play experience for everyone.

We operate off of a clear and fair set of rules (although very lengthy it is required to read them all before joining) which makes the game a very pleasant and interesting play for everyone. I will leave the RULES here

Rules
Naming your character. Players’ characters must have a realistic first and second name e.g: John Smith and not ProXxX KingSlayErzZz.
Remaining in character. Players must remain in character at all times in game and anything said or done will be taken as the players character performing those actions and now you unless saying ‘out of character’.
Backstory. Players must remain true to their character’s backstory, so once they have made it up they cannot be constantly changing it to fit their situation(s) as they see fit. This will give them and every member of our community a definite identity.
RDM. RDM stands for random deathmatch it is the act of killing another player on sight for no specific reason. A good example of this is coming across another player in the woods drawing your sword and slaying them with no communication.
Engaging combat. Instead of KOS (killing on site) which is RDM if a player wishes to engage in combat with another player they must state a specific reason for doing so whilst role playing. It cannot be ‘I want your stuff’ then slay. It can be anything from robbing someone and they fail to comply then the player is fully within their rights to kill them or it can be for an RP reason like they are at war with the player, they have killed one of the players clansmen etc. But it cannot be if they have previously killed said player, this is called the NLR (New Life Rule) and doing this will break said rule.
New Life Rule. The New Life Rule means that if the player dies, they essentially start a new life but keeping the same name, character and identity, but when they die they cannot return to the scene of death or tell details about it for 10 minutes. In character it will be the equivalent of being knocked on the head and their memory being blurry, they forget it. The player cannot go after their killer because of being previously killed by them, but they can be avenged by another player. Death can be cause for war and aggression between two factions and they can can hold a grudge against their killer.
Wars. Only Factions may declare war on one another. A faction is classed as a group or family/house of players. So for instance all players sharing the same surname ‘Whitehill’ are considered a house or clan and can act as a faction and declare war against another faction. Declaring war must be formal and at least one member of the faction must be aware of it. Fighting may begin immediately, fighting within wars can be initiated without roleplay so RDM cannot be declared if it is amongst a war. However sieges and attacks/raids on settlements or outposts may not begin for at least an hour after war has been declared to give both parties preparation time. This means a faction can invite another faction to a meeting point for ‘diplomacy’ and declare war and ambush them, but they cannot arrive at another factions settlement and declare war and attack. Wars need a valid reason to be fought, some examples are invasion of land (for strategical gain), previous RP situations like robberies or assault, grudges and tension from previous conflicts and also to help an ally faction. Wars last for 48 hours no longer and no shorter. A faction cannot redeclare war after that war ends for another 48 hours.
Combat. Players cannot initiate combat within a war without wearing armor. If your faction is in a war and they are contributing they cannot go out in the nude and fight with just a great sword etc, they must at least be wearing a Chest piece, trousers and shoes. However outside of wars, in normal skirmishes and brawls a player may be wearing whatever they feel like with no restrictions whatsoever. Any form of exploit or glitch in game is strictly prohibited for combat and if one is found report it to an admin and refrain from doing it again. If you are found using such a method you will be punished accordingly.
Physics. Players cannot tunnel underneath another player(s) structure or settlement. Players cannot use items such as logs to scale another payers structure or walls. Players can use items such as logs to build a way over or around walls or structures as long as they make sense and don’t break the laws of physics, like for instance just two floating logs that allows a player to jump over a wall. What can be done though is players can stack logs, build siege towers or even ladders with say logs to scale walls. Breaking into other factions bases can only be done during times of war.
Cheating. There is to be strictly no form of glitching, exploiting, cheating or hacking whatsoever. Anyone found doing so will be punished severely.
As of right now we do not have the server up yet but it will be done when we are finished setting up the community to surround the server. It IS
recommended to apply and get white-listed now so you can get into the game early on as to not miss out as we are anticipating a lively launch.
