dev's are pretty much jerks about the JH changes

Post by Vorl » 19 Jan 2018, 16:26

So, with the new changes to JH the devs should have offered transfers or refunds on tickets to people that have no interest in the new increased JH. 8 hours a week prime time play. Pretty well screws a lot of people that have no interest in running around trying to kill or defend.

Why would you offer a nice PvP server for EU, with incentives for PvPers to move, and then turn around and screw over the NA people?

When asking for a transfer the response was: "The decision to start heading towards intended goals were made after careful consideration and analysis of player's preferences."

Really? What players? I didn't see a vote, I didn't see an option to give feedback about this. Seems more or less like the devs made arbitrary decisions and screwed over a good number of players based on nothing but a whim.

If you are suddenly going to change the rules on something, then do it on the new server you just put up just like you did for EU.

If you can't be bothered to do that, then give the people that are supporting your stupid game a refund for their tickets so they can move to a server that has the play style they want. It doesn't refund the time they spent before you screwed them over, but at least it would be SOMETHING.

pretty much a set of poor decisions with no forethought or consideration.

And for anyone that's going to say "beta" no. This is a basic part of the game. There is no need to change world rules like this. Also, you lose beta protection as soon as you claim "no more wipes". The game is live in every real sense.

I'm sorry but EU didn't get a new PvP server, original server was made into PvP without any chance of transfer, anyhow I agree with you as you and as you can see there was similar topic raised here - https://lifeisfeudal.com/forum/server-transfer-t32519/

No offense to the both of you, but the original "rule set" or plans for the servers was as follows.

-Judgement Hour every day for one hour at prime time.
((That is 7 JH for 1 hour each.))

-During Judgement Hour, NO CLAIM IS SAFE, EVEN PERSONAL CLAIMS OR CITY CLAIMS!
(This meant if your personal claim was off in the middle of nowhere, and someone didnt want it there, they could burn EVERYTHING DOWN during JH)

-Instance Battles were the main way to wage war, victory would reduce the size of the defeated claim by (x) amount of radius, and possibly a tier.

-Siege Battles, would be the primary way to remove guilds from your lands. IF a siege happened on a Tier 1 guild, and the T1 guild lost, its guild stone would be destroyed, the lands would become open for all, and everything on it would be lootable and destructible. (That is what wasnt destroyed during the siege).

So please don't start with this, "This isnt the server I signed up for..." fact is IT IS the server you signed up for. There wasn't plans for a RP server, or 4 other servers, just a North American Server, and a European Server.

Where exactly was this info? It's hard enough to find the rule sets for the new servers, let alone any reasonable way to find the original rule set.

Also, their statement of "this is what the players want" is crap. Like I said, where was a vote held? Who's opinions where asked? They asked ONLY PvP people. Of course they would give the answer of "yeah, more pvp" Asking one side how they want to do things is moronic in the extreme.

"[9:48 PM] Bobik: @everyone So I've been on a Teamspeak calls with dozens of leaders of PvP allinaces and guilds from both EU and NA region (list of the guilds that were represented"

I know a lot of people that are quitting because of this stupidity.

As for JH being as often as it is, I call bs, because if that was the case there wouldn't be a need to ask the PvP people if they want more PvP, they would have just followed the original plan.

From Bobik:
After this discussion I came to the following conclusion/solution:
EU:
1. Avalon server will be advertised and considered as a PvP server. But the only ruleset that will be changed for this server (for now) will be the tweak of the JH schedule. We will make JHs more often and longer.
2. Fannland will have a vanilla rule set and will be enabled once we see that the player's demand is higher than the servers capacities. Fannland will stay hidden for now.
3. Skjultland will have a vanila rule set as it is now and will be available as it is now.

NA:
4. Buyan will stay as a vanilla rule set, but the frequency and duration of JHs will also be increased.
5. Telmun will have a vanila rule set as it is now and will be available as it is now.

So, instead of screwing a lot of the people here, they could have done this in a way that wasn't meant to screw everyone else over. If you are giving the PvPers increased leveling speed, why not make that the new server so PvPers will move over and everyone else doesn't lose the hundreds of hours they have spent on the current server.

More or less this was just a way to give all the people that don't want all the PvP the middle finger.

It was all in the original FAQ for the game. No clue where that is now but it was there before the website change.

That sure doesn't help anyone currently.

They have an extreme issue with their ability to communicate, and keep people up to date on how they are changing things, or when there are issues.

13 hours after the issue started with transfers off newbie island they finally post something in discord saying "yep, we have an issue"
