It seems someone decided, that having thing diagonally now, is somehow bringing something good.

It is not.
Our inventory is bordered horizontally and vertically. So to make the most of this space, having the items along those borders would help too.

Especially the herbs having their paper now diagonally hinders ordering them effectivly.
