Epleland PvP Rules

Please revert the Epleland PvP tweaks to those of normal servers.

People on RP servers are not carebears, we want pvp as much as any other server, yet the server ruleset sets to disuade pvp and increase grind.

This game hugely built around pvp. People are motivated by pvp, people building cities, gather resources, grind skills mostly to be ready when pvp comes. The thrill that you may be attacked at any time makes the game worth playing. When you put so much restrictions and penalties on pvp, the population will get bored extremely quickly. People will build cities, and get bored. The best RP i've ever seen is always spurred by conflict, it creates great storylines, heroes, murderers, kings, cowards.

It's clear that the developers do not want any pvp whatsoever on RP servers.

Not only does it take twice as long to gain skills on the RP server, but when you lose much more, which effectively multiplies the death effect, as each time you die you lose more than a normal server, then it takes you twice as long to gain back those skills.

The removal of judgement hour also detracts from the game experience. Everyone needs and wants pvp on this server and judgement hour is something fun which could be implemented to add to the RP experience (legitimate RP reasons can be made for it).

Please take away these stupid and unwarranted pvp limitations from the RP server. We're NOT carebears.

TBH i think there is a reason for that - normal servers are basically a deathmatch arena and there's no reason at all why it can't happen here. With 1000+ people playing no amount of admins will be able to keep it in control, and it also keeps people who'd join Epleland for any reason but RP away to some extent.

My problem is that it also keeps the whole population from wanting to pvp.

Who will want to pvp when they lose so much?

It's not just 1 penalty that has been increased. It's the fact that you lose more when you die AND it takes twice as long to gain those skills back.

If it was just losing more skills on death OR half the skill gain, then that can be justified, but having them both has a multiplicative effect means that not only does it give a penalty to grieving, but it also stops people wanting to do any legitimate pvp, even for RP reasons. For death you're essentially being punished twice by two separate rules.

I want pvp on the EU RP server but not judgement hour. Judgement hour just makes players troll others who are not online, seen this many times in other places.

I am even ok if say after 2-3 pvp deaths your character is permanently dead.

The RP Server Epleland is set up for PvE, Roleplay, there is Europe and America for PvP, everything is fine as it is. Not everyone has the incentive to murder, there are even better incentives to play Lif MMO, Well done Bobik :-)

Don't make a common mistake of equalizing Roleplay to PvE.

Epleland is described as PvE by the developers.
If I had to be blown away then it was with LIF MMO. Epleland is a great way for players who do not want to play PvP LIF.

You have 2 PvP Server America and Europe, but play there PvP, is not that enough? It's about players who the real PvP is too hard, you are not strong enough, then you want to make trouble on extra equipped RP server. That is the reason. You have two servers with crafting and building, is that not enough?

Epleland is neither for those who want easy prey nor it is for those who want a completely safe minecraftish gameplay with no PvP. There will be (and there are) conflicts and wars and thugs and all. I would prefer meeting bloodthirsty thugs that actually roleplay on a roleplay server than some peaceful people who came here only because Avalon is too harsh.
