Olafsfjoror is a roleplay server which was created due to countless servers having to be fled due to abusive GMs, exploiting players, bad performance etc. We aim to create a fun experience for both the players who wish to have peaceful RP, as well as people who want organized PVP. We also aim to have good performance and no wipes for as long as possible. Please have a look at the rules below to see how we plan to keep the server running well, and fun for all types of players.

RULES:

1. No RDMing. If reported as an RDM, a warning in the form of a bounty will be placed. You may be killed or captured. If captured you will appear in the Jarl’s court. A second report of RDM may lead to a ban.

2. RDM will be considered as any attack or raid which is unprovoked or undeclared.

3. No Mining (Specifically Tunneling). Infinite piles are to be used in each settlement and can be provided by an admin if needed, just request it. There will be a single mine operated within the central city which will serve the purpose of leveling skills. It will be moderated and watched as to not become too large.

4. Metagaming. Keep in mind that this is a roleplay server, metagaming is frowned upon. What you know out of character is not necessarily the same as what you know in character. Though metagaming can and will occur, try to be fair and keep it fun.

5. Only one character is allowed per player.

6. Improper language, trolling, bullying, and insulting, in a way that is not in the spirit of roleplay is forbidden.

7. We will try to handle stumps with a script client side, though in the meantime please try to uproot all of your stumps to prevent server lag.
8. The central city is a neutral land which is made for the purpose of peaceful roleplay and server events. No combat is allowed in or around the settlement.

9. Roleplay encouraged, not required.


WAR/RAIDING RULES:

1. If a person or guild legally raids a settlement, they may not raid that settlement again for 24 hours.

2. In the case of a war declaration, the aggressor must meet in the Jarl’s court along with a representative from the defending guild, and announce the declaration and reasoning for it. Any reason will work as long as you make it work with the roleplay.

3. Once a declaration of war has been made, combat may not begin for 24 hours. This will give time to allow the defending guild to alert their alliances that they too are being declared on.

4. If you die in battle, you are not allowed to return to the area until the battle has officially ended.

5. Exploits or actions that are unrealistic to the roleplay are not allowed. This would include things such as tree walls, floating logs, dirt piling, or tunneling to get into another claim.
