Some Feedback

Post by Tommysieling » 10 Dec 2017, 21:05

This is just some of my feedback from my first few hours of playing the game. First off, I would like to state that this game is great and has amazing potential, however there are a few flaws which make it very hard to play in my opinion. These including: the spawn system, food gathering, combat, and movement. I feel like these areas of the game could use some major reworking (and I'm sure they are undergoing such.) The spawn system feels like the worst part of the game right now. I just quit the game after a spawn in the north, in which I couldn't even get out of because of the mountains in the way. The first time I did spawn though I did receive a decent spawn where I was able to make it south, shortly after dying to a moose, which didn't die after 10 hits with an ax. The food system makes it too difficult for a player to even get a morsel of something to eat, but even when you do get some fish or an apple, it only adds 1-3 points to the food bar. If I were to eat an entire fish I would be full for hours, and I feel like this game doesn't portray that at all. After realizing fish weren't the solution to my 10 points of hunger, I tried killing a moose. I hit it in the head 10 times with my ax, which turned around and knocked me out 3 times, at which point I killed myself due to my 5 points of hunger left. I don't know about anybody else, but I don't know any animal that can survive 2 chops of an ax to the head. Now on to the movement system, I believe this system is the least problematic, however it does pose an issue when trying to make it south, due to how slow the character walks and runs. I mean its like I am walking through water. Thank you for reading and this is just some of my feedback on the game in its current state.
