judgement hour lag needs to be fixed

Post by Macpharlan » 24 Dec 2017, 04:11

I don't know how, but JH is pretty much suck hour right now on server 38. There is no point of being on except you have to or your stuff could get crapped on, but it is so lagging it is a horrible experience.

I have to agree with this.

But being more constructive is helpful.

SO here is my constructive bits of comments.

JH is BAD... the lag is horrible. From my experience most of the lag comes from tree stumps and players...

So the easiest fix is to either add a decay to stumps so they go away after a few days, OR limit the amount of people on the nodes IN each tile.

We know that those lags are a pain in the butt and we are sorry that you had to experience them. We are still working on optimizing and stabilizing those servers to be able to hold more players, especially during combat.

I have a question.

If the NA servers are in the US of A, in Texas, why do so many of us IN the US get such bad ping to the server, my average ping is 160-170ms, which is the same ping I get to another games server which is located in France? Is there some kind of network debugging program running in the background that is slowing things down?

Here is a screenshot of the last JH on 38, with my network ping up.

server 38 is now having lag problems outside JH, not sure how they are going to handle that without putting hard caps on a server, maybe they need server farms inside each section for when they fill up.
