I was just killed by a player from a rival faction, knowing that the death was imminent I hit the respawn button immediately upon death and right away I was back at my bound house...with everything still in my inventory. My full set of leather armor was still on my body, all my equipped (And unequipped) weapons were still either in my slots or in my inventory. My regular (Non believer) metal tools were all still in my inventory.

Figuring it was some sort of bug I decided to go back to crafting and not risk dying again by leaving my base. So I took off all my armor and weapons and stowed them in a box. A few seconds into moving my gear over, it all disappeared...all but the items I had moved into the box. So in essence, some sort of delay resulted in me keeping my gear and after I moved them into my box they all stayed in the box but the other half of my gear that hadn't been taken off (Chest piece, trousers and a few weapons) disappeared from my body and I was left naked but still had all the items that I had placed in the box.

So either the items I put in the box were duped or somehow transferred from my corpse to the box.

Hey. Can you provide us with your game logs from that time? Just so you know, timestamps are made when you launch the game. This should help you find the right one. This will help us a lot.
