Hello I am a huge fan of the game and I have put a lot of hours into making our village but we have some griefers who are taking advantage of the way the game works. especially the placement tool we use to lift objects and place of floor neatly. Juicy a known griefer from our server NEVER TRUST HANNAH has been picking up any construction that he can and burying them 20 foot below him. Please can you look into this Devs because realistically you shouldn't be able to bury things 20 footunderneathe without aking a hole. and I know this game is all about realism. please try to fix so no one else gets the punishment we have been through. It can set you back a full 12 hours in real life if you have one troller stroll along your village.

Had the same problem here, some person took our loom and spinning wheel and put it far up into the sky, there really needs to be a limit to how far you can place these away from the original zone you try to place it at.

There was a fix that was supposed to prevent something like this happening but it doesn't work properly yet. Devs will fix that soon.

This may seem tangential to the OP's statement. However, I don't understand where I'm suppose to store my equipment/materials. Griefers can still loot everything I own (because I can't walk around with it all on me). There are no lockable chests?

They can just hide your locked chests anyway since the claim system is horrible right now.

Honor system prevails at the moment.

Problem:
As Alpha-Tester it's frustrating that players can steal and do steal tools and raw materials from any chest and house.

Today, 2014-10-11, ca. 02:00 ocl players walked into my (claimed) house and stole materials of three (3 real time) days of work.

I won't be able to test higher features if I have to start from scratch everytime a player steals that important stuff.

Solution 1 (temporary):
So, it would be useful to implement a working option for locking certain items. At least it should be an easy temporary option for alpha testers - as there is no logic how to "lock" a leather-curtain of a shack :) For the finished game this option can be removed again.

Solution 2 (permanent):
Another way would be to prepare an option to >hide< an item-bag.
Click it, so it's sunk into the ground/disappears/whatever. That would be a feature devs could keep even in the finished game as it's actually realistic.

Another (simple) solution could have been to close the door of your claimed house, so that none would have stepped in to rob you.

Locked houses are still glichy. On our server we had a player glitch his head in locked houses and nick all the stuf out of bags. He got banned, but the fact that glitch is there is frustrating. Hope the Devs will tackle this in due time as I understand it's Alpha.

When they do fix that I hope they put in longer locking times. People on long work shifts may not get back to said locked item in 24 hours. Set amount time would be better or ID tags like in Wurm. it's yours till the degrading time runs though it's motions... erm when they implement decay lol. :beer:

Solution #4 play on a server that needs a password, and has rules against people stealing, with active gm's if people do steal from you, then they get removed from the server.

Solution #5 play on a local dedicated server with + acceleration on all skill gain, resource gain, and have your skill cap high enough you can do everything by your self, if nobody can join you, then nobody can steal from you.
