Hello, me and some firends are having the same issue.
When playing not only are we having ingame grash (its normal thats an alpha) but we are often havein blue screen crash.
LiF is actually the only game causing me problem and even if my pc is not brand new its still a decent one:
Amd Phenom II x6 3.2 ghz
8 g ram
amd radeon hd 6950 s
1000 g hdd
win 7 64 bit

Game crashes may be related to some issues that can be found reported mostly in steam hub. But blue screen is mainly AMD card defect, I myself am suffering from it.

What drivers are you using? Old ones, new one or beta? Also, did you have for instance a youtube open in the background while playing?

im using the last driver for my card and the catalyst control center.
and not runing anything but ts3 and the steam browser in the background. i mostly use the steam browser for the lif wiki

Did you check of your GPU is not overclocked?
