I would appreciate gaining skill points towards fishing while out throwing my line, despite whether or not i catch one. Its the act of fishing that you get better at, and I feel the more you do it, the better you get at it. Just like moving earth, it should correlate to fishing. Right now you only gain points when you catch something!

well it works like any other skill.
Just follow some tracks to increase the skill.

I don't see how, based on the skill trees for everything else, that you could fish your skill to 100 and be able to track, trap, hunt, skin because of it.

I don't think you should get the same amount of skill points from casting and not catching as you would from catching .. but some skill for casting I agree with.

Apparently, you don't fish much in real life do you. It takes more skill trying to catch the fish than it does to real it in.
