Does anyone have an idea why the following happens when someone tries to create an character?

Because you are missing f_createInventory function in your DB, propably badly imported from sql.

Dedicated only
!!!Always backup your DB, before you start doing something!!!
backup tables only using heidisql.
Then You must install db properly without errors i used mariaDB 5.5.40 as my sql service.
Last thing is to import your db back (tables only).

Client only - steam
verify integrity of gamecache
Last option is to archive a folder named lif_x , the X means world ID you have set.
Mostly this folder is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Life is Feudal Your Own\daemon\mariadb\data
Then relocate or delete folders in this data folder.
verify integrity of gamecache, then place your lif_x folder in there (which you have archived from before) and overwrite.
Last thing is to pray that it works
This is untested.

Anyone who isnt skilled enough to manipulate his DB, should try it as a last resort.
