LiF Dying.. =/

Post by KingEnemy » 12 Nov 2014, 14:13

If you look at the amount of players and the amount of servers we have it seems as if LiF is dying already due to content.. Slow slow slow development, no advertisement in order to gain more players. I honestly thing the dev team needs to step it up if they want to succeed. Perhaps lower the price or start a kickstarter as well. This game really needs more implements and fast before everyone begins to lose interest in the game.. thats just my opinion, so please game devs, step it up. You guys are on the right track of making what could be an amazing game.

Nah

I think the ebb and flow of active players is just a normal part of any early access title. As milestones are reached and new features added people will slam the servers again to check out the "new" stuff. Stabilizing the game and critical bugs being fixed will allow more regular content updates as we move through alpha.

This.

I have over one hundred hours played, and have explored every facet of gameplay. I very much look forward to the addition of future development of combat (cavalry, finished pikes, tweaked shields.)

Even as I wait, I would still certainly play, except for the reliable gfx memory crash some of us have (myself included.)

Once they fix that, I will be back in there. I am sure I am not alone.

I have over 200 hours myself, I love the game. I havnt played another game since i bought it. I just honestly dont think that the game is out there enough for people to see. Im worried about the development of the game seeing that patches are far apart and not very big when they do come out. I have been through 3 different servers the rise and fall of them. I believe that people keep leaving because of the crashes due to no optimization and the game being 32x bit. One of the big problems that I share with others, friends included, is the hitboxes in combat. Alot of people want to PvP and fight.. but with how bad the hitboxes are and how badly combat needs attention people stop playing. LiF team you guys are amazing and your game is as well. I just think as a player, fan, and supporter ALOT of us want to see more output from the dev team. I know you guys see youtube and posts all over the internet, I'm not alone. Hear our pleas..

Perhaps I am in the minority, but I can still easily lose myself in various aspects of the game. That being said, even when new content comes out there will still be a certain 'lack' when playing on a private server, or even a public server that has limited capacity.

This game is being made for an MMO population, and you cannot have a consistent player driven story-line without having a large player base.

Once the MMO comes out I will probably shut down our private server as it will have no real purpose.

This game's design suits my style as a gamer perfectly. Am up to 480 or so hours (with 130 or so in the last week).

I have noticed a trend that a more "casual" every now and then player will last about a two weeks on the first server they try. After that time, they will do one of three things. Move on for a while why the game is still being developed, create a new character on a new server, or set up and start running their own private server.

Servers are constantly popping up, last I paid attention it was over 880 different servers on the list. A month ago it was about 780, so 100 new servers in a month.

It's not dying.

I think the game is doing pretty good for an Alpha test. If the map was large they could consolidate the servers and begin stress testing the game with a lot more players on it at the same time.

If they could launch it outside of steam, it would open their market up more.

They could place it on www.gog.com, I frequent that one a lot. Raptor, and any of the other gaming program's should be able to launch it as well.

Would definitely get it some more coverage to be seen more.
It does not matter who is the strongest fighter, just the last one standing.
