Trebuchet feedback

Post by Sir_Ziggy » 04 May 2015, 01:22

Desided to post it here aswell, so the devs see it asap
We(our team) had a lot of testing for your new siege weapon - trebuchet.
In its current state it destroys buildings and objects too fast(couple of hits). It is a major exploit, though its pretty much unstoppable.
In its current state buildings have the same HP basis, building's HP being dependant only on material quality.
For now and for future siege engines implementation, you need to highly increase HP amount for fortification buildings.

Unless it is fixed, a trebuchet with a couple of people supporting its fire, can fully destroy a small fortress with stone walls in 1-2 minutes.

This feedback is solely based on in-game testing of trebuchet.

I was thinking more on the lines, that they need to make the basic stone ammo weaker,

nah a its indeed hp dependent on structure.
currently a house builded whit high quality materials has more hp than a stone wall builded whit crap matterials.
i dont think the threb's dam is to high i just think the difrent buildings there hp is to low. for a treb to destroy a house in minutes is not strange, just think of howmuch dammage a flying rock tro your house would do. bhut a flying rock hitting stone wall's to fly tro them like its a paper wall is kinda odd

Yeah, thats what I was talking about, in its current state the buildings' HP is broken, for example stone wall and castle wall both made with 50q materials will both have same amount of 10000 HP? which is not right imo. Waiting for DEVs to respond

A castle wall at 100q takes 4 hits, a stone wall takes 3

Damage is too high, remember other ammo types are coming

damage done to building also depends on building's weight
and of course it will be balanced, little bit later - after implementation of other types of ammo.

Well at the moment I was able to destroy both Stone Gatehouse and Castle Gatehouse, 20000 HP both? with 7 hits from trebuchet(80q ammo 100q trebuchet)
