Tree's Floating

Post by Sinnocence » 17 May 2015, 03:03

While playing through LIF:YO I have seen trees and have planted trees that have a portion of the trunk not touching the ground. This allows players to see through the back of the mesh/texture of the tree.

Might I suggest extending or lowering the X Y setting to drop at least one square into the ground to insure that this graphical distraction is removed?

Then the stumps might not look right. They should add roots instead.

adding roots on the tree's wil suck up quit some graphic memory below the soil wich u hardely wil see , bhut u will feel it on the performance.
and i assume the reason u can see below the tree's is becouse the tree's where placed accurately at first and then some terraforming arround em (lowering ground) till it got blocked and then the tree's grown to full size. (just a idea why u got it not saying it is)

sadly fresh server boot up and found them all over the place along with gaps in the terrain.

I see stuff like that and it makes me cry a little.

They don't have to be detailed, just something that would anchor the tree to the ground.
