Okay, so I tried the Dx9 Legacy Version, after a download of approximatly 500 MB it worked. Of course there was an error in thought, cause the server I play on has the new version and the are not compatible.

So I want to revert back...
And suddenly I have to download 1200 MB to do that????

Shouldn't be all the data already there?

Make sure that your steam settings aren't forcing your updates.

Turn off auto updates for Lif and give that a go.

I am having the same issue, for a long time now it wasn't working, switched to no beta to outdated dx9 and it works, but I can't join any servers.

Went to public beta with the access code and the game won't start and I am getting very frustrated. Please help

youl need to start a new server for the dx9 legacy.
all current servers have been patched to the dx11.
i run beta branch and i cant even run my server anymore in the official release becouse it is patchedup

what is you graphic card... ? because maybe you just cannot run the game because of this, which doesn't support dx11
