Time to fix horses please.

6 people on horses fighting... when 1 gets low they ride off and full heal with hide/call then come back.

We kill a few people, they spawn back in their base then immediately grab a lance and a horse and are 100% combat viable since death cooldown does not matter on a horse.

If you do manage to knock someone, they immediately get back on and ride off.

Only decent non-horse tactic atm is shield wall with naptha pots.

Yes, they need to fix the ability to insta heal horses, but at the same time its the only decent way to counter extreme hit and run archers. It is OP against melee infantry, but a dedicated poleaxe user can dismount a lancer and then get at least one hit off on them while they are lying on the ground, which usually can deal about half health damage. For some reason pikes no longer seem to stop horses in their tracks like they did at the start of the beta branch, I think this is a bug as of now. So yea, when they make horses have to heal like players heal, over time, they also need to nerf the mobility and fire rate of bowmen because currently they pose more of a threat to horsemen than any other class, and that is not how the game was intended to work.

As a lancer, i need to express my opinion.
I m ok with horse healing like players do.

But right now, its too easy for everyone to use Warhorse.. its fast, quite tough and you need only 30 chivalry to use it /generaly best horse on a battlefield right now/. And its bad, best should be Heavy WH and Royal WH. Ability to use Warhorse should be digged deeper (at least 60 mounted fighting mastery) and its speed should be reduced too (best like Hardy warhorse has).
Ability to use Hardy warhorse should be like 60 lancing-heavy WH riding.

Everyone can use untrained horse, but only true mounted fighters, or those, who will invest skillpoints to that ability should be able to use better horses.
Using spirited WH should be 100 mounted fighting mastery, or 90 - lancing, heavy WH riding.

Yes I agree heavy/royal should be the best. I realize they are slower because of the armor they wear, but the rare horses that are being used for these are probably stronger and faster than your plain jane warhorse so they should be able to go a bit faster than even a regular warhorse.

Also spirited feels so worthless unless you are using it as a mule to haul shaped granite back from the big mtn. You can't equip more than 10 stones or they go down to half speed.

horses have a general build , strong horses are not as fast and fast horses are not that strong.

the largest breed of horse is the "Clydesdale" breed wich originates from the scotish district, here is a pic of the world record biggest horse measuring 2.03meters from the shoulder (6 feet 759⁄64 inches)

no idea how the personalty of the clydesdale breed is bhut the belgian pulling horse is a breed that has tons of strength and has a gentle personalty , downside is, they are SOOOOO dam lazy.
when giving birth the farmer needs to motivate the mare to keep pushing and even help her to give birth to the calf, if none is present to motivate the mare dureing birth than she wil only push 1 time and than give up on it resulting in the calf dyeing dureing birth.

that being sayd, here is a pic of a common raceing horse build for speed

racing horses are restless and wanne run (heck its litterly in there DNA) upon that u easely notice the physical difrences between the horses, the raceing horse is smaller , has ALOT slimmer legs and also its torse is slimmer and even its head (yep the entire body of the raceing horse is... slimmer)
its faster bhut it cant pul or hold the weight that the other 2 breeds kan.
(it happens that raceinghorses die from hart attack becouse they are so restless)

k so far the anatomy of horses.
now u want a horse strongest and fastest ingame, stil think this sounds normal?
i do agree there should be difrences bhut lets say basic training required for riding basic horse.
minimal training for speed horse (aka no armor) , average training for armor horse (slightly slower than a speedy horse) and max training for a full armord horse whit reduced speed that it matches the riding speed of the basic horse bhut has a reduced sprinting time.

edit: would be cool to see option to breed horses builded for farming aswel :)

Horses should not be something that can be put away into inventory. I know the current implementation was because it was easier to implement for YO, but I've offered what I believe is a better way (which copies from existing games): http://lifeisfeudal.com/Discussions/question/remove-animal-certficates-from-inventory

A raiding group should have to leave behind someone to protect the horses from getting stolen. Horses should require healing (just like players). In fact, that would be a good skill to add.

First, cooldown does matter on a horse. Second, there are several awesome builds and tricks that can counter lancer easily, its not game fault you didnt find it out. And last one thing, cant you just imagine how underpowered lancing would be? I know its not real (and what is in this game lol) but right now lancing seems to be somewhat balanced. Life of a lancer is not as easy path as you think. His horse can be stolen during jh by almost everyone, he has to be very careful at dense forests, he has to watch for a pikes, fast good archers covering behind some obstacle, he cant fight at cities and walls.... Personally i would make warhorse riding more priviledged so you would need more skills to even saddle one, you can always use untrained for regular transportation, but you cant just annoy people with just knocking them...
