I've got a 660 Ti, it is officially the recommended card for this game (not minimum requirement, recommended).
i've been crashing most of the time.
Basically, there will be days where I will crash every few seconds or minutes, then a few hours when I don't crash at all, and some times just the occasional crash every 10 minutes.
I did my own testing from my side and tried to tweak everything I knew about from the render distant or screen resolution to how high I over clocked my card or playing even without overclock.
I decided to monito my GPU and GPU temperautre. You will find the results attached, or rather, embedded bellow.
1. First one is on stock card (ie: factory settings, no over clock).
In this setup I don't crash at all during the time of the test, but I do come very close at one point.
2. Second one is with OC card, this one crashed more less once the GPU temperature reached 98/99 degrees C.
I would like to note that since last Friday, I have tested playing with or without the OC.
In both cases, the GPU usage is at max and the temperature steadily goes up to at least 97%. In reality, after a longer time, I'm sure it goes higher.
This is not normal, whatever game I play, my GPU NEVER maxes out at a constant level like and it NEVER heats up except for certain specific situations and that's only when I am using OC settings.
I've played with this card with OC and without and I still play with and without OC on all my other games including online games and it never behaves like this.
It often reaches max GPU usage but that usage NEVER stays constantly at 100%
Like I said, I am not expert, but since the devs don't seem to help with this problem I thought I might try. And (again I am no expert) but my conclusion would be that bad programming is making my graphics card heat up and my graphics card shuts down when it is too hot, as a security measure.
I would be more than happy if anyone more competent than me may comment but appart from quitting the game altogether, I see nothing else I can do.
This is kind of my last "chance" before I quit because it has been 6 days now and that is really getting dangerously close to the stage where it's just bullshit and I can't take it anymore. 6 days of game breaking problem is just ridiculous, indie company or not.
