Waiting for server...

Post by Oxrock » 24 May 2015, 06:32

That's as far as I can get ever since the patch. I'm not the only one, I'm hearing this from several other people as well. I choose a server, select my character and then I'm "waiting for server..." for infinity. I would be happy to forward any relevant required information to help address the issue. Sometimes just hearing back from the devs saying that they're aware can make a world of difference. Right now I can't find any info or rumblings that indicate anyone is even aware of this. I've verified integrity of game cache through steam, I've restarted my computer, I even uninstalled/reinstalled.

I have the same problem, I did the same as you, even thought about reinstalling windows...

After about 2 hours of trying and trying I finally made it into a random server on which i created a new character but I still can't access the server i was playing before, it gets stuck on "Waiting for server...".

If i recall correctly, I remember having that kind of problem around September 2014, when i bought the game. Though I don't know how it got fixed.

The admin of the server I play on told me he also had some problems loading in the server yesterday, when the patch went out.

I am not sure what is causing this, I've opened ports, re-downloaded the game and also cleared the cache by deleting the "deamon" folder and using the steam options to verify the game after.

I hope you guys can do something about this, for infos I got an AMD processor, an AMD GPU and windows 8.1 64 bits in french.

Oh... One last thing, after applying the patch yesterday I opened the game and connected to the server, successfully. While i was in the game I changed my video settings to almost max everywhere... to see further away because i noticed i couldn't see saplings from afar.

Now today when i relaunched the game and tried to connect to the same server it didn't work.

A friend told me there was known issues with high video settings, but I guess it was too late since I've already changed them when I heard about that. I've tried putting back my video settings to low today and without success, the server still won't load no matter high or low video settings.

I tried making another character on the server but in vain, still nothing.

Anyway, good luck with that. I guess that for now I'll have to play another game. :sorry:

Thank you for your time and keep up the good work! :good:

Your's,
WX

Hi all :) ,

Also adding to the others with the same problem. The next day after the new patch to version 0.4.1.2 I could not connect to any server. I tried to reinstall all my PCs and no change, I've tried everything, but the problem is probably impossible and it is in that patch. :sorry:

Even though I left half a day,, Waiting for server,, still not been started.

Please as soon as possible rectify this patch, see bad roads, changes in positions of animals and other problems. It is for many people unplayable at the moment and I can not begin to play another game ....

Thanks for everything

Maik

A few friends of mine had the same issue as above, and I walked them through everything. I started Putin two and two together, they were all leaders of guilds, and they all had buggy monuments prior to the patch. We had our GMs remove the buggy monuments and restart the server and bam they could login. I've read the text from the console and it seems erroring on textures as well as the new patch system. It also seems to effect windows 8.1 players more then the rest. Try this, it may help you all.

This looks like it was resolved with the latest patch. Yay!
