Hey guys,

sory to bother you but I have some real hard issues with the hunting/taming system in LiF.

When I try to tame a boar or a horse (the two animals I tried to tame) the animals are running away from me straigt to the coast near the middle of the map.

EVERY TIME !! AND ALWAYS THE SAME PLACE !!

And no matter where I started my try to tame them. I'm sory to say this but it is realy annoying and devastate a lot of fun! In adition to this the point is: the horse a high enought to survive in the water, but the boars are not.

So please tell me, whats the sense of hunting down boars through half the map only to see them running into the water and drown, every fu*** time?

So, if the support is familiar with this problem please don't give me a shitstorm. If not, please take this thread as a bugreport (no ingameoption for this).

I too have mentioned this once. They never used to just after release, so some time after december is when they started doing it.

They have mentioned but cant recall exactly where, that they are also developing an improved system for the animal AI, among other things, thats why its like that for a while because they probably dont want to realese something half done, but yeah i know what you mean I encouter that alot myself

At the moment it's pretty hard to tame animals on your own.

Usually it's a two man job, one person shoots the animal once from a distance, with a sling or bow, after that the animal will be "locked" to the shooter and the tamer can walk up to it without scaring it away, letting him do the taming action multiple times peacefully.

I think they should change it so you need to be atleast 30 in animal lore to tame because you can get from 0 to over 90 in about 5 mins by doing this as long as you don't successfully tame it. even at 1x skill settings. It's gone from animal lore being the hardest to level, to now being the easiest.

Animals supposed to run away from us to direction where we are chasing them. But currently they are running to coast even you are standing on their way. Its impossible to chase them into a desired direction. Because of this, its impossible to use traps.
