i watched a pvp vid and the pvp looks very simpel
like rust melee combat ....
in my opinion this game need a proper directional blocking mechanic
-mid left and right block !!!!! so you have to watch the animation from where the opponent swinging to make it at least a bit skillbased
-comboable attacks out of a parry so you can do a fast overhead/ step , left or right atatck and the opponent have to block in the proper direction
dont make blocks hits slow down chars !!! if you get ganked there is no way to escape . make movement speed , "health depending" so if you drop under half hp ,you will loose speed and want to drink a pot as fast as possible to have a chance to escape
a hit should cancel a sprint , so you need to resprint but it should consume only once stamina when starting the sprint but not over time
i know it cant be done as awesome as in chivalery with all te building

but mo is an mmo , and those directional attacks + hitboxes make it much fun and it work in an mmo , but not as well as in chivalery
