About not to have a life sept. 19th?

Post by Jezbelle » 02 Sep 2014, 14:31

As Bobik said, LIF: YO will likely be released on steam on the 19th.

Do you guys think LIF: YO is dangerous to our social lives? Or do you think it will be in no way near as addicting as a full scale MMO?

Is it game-relevant? Rather an offtopic thread.

Personally I don't think it'll be much of an addicting game until combat system feels right. And I think that's not going to be the case very soon.

So, rather more Mount&Blade for me.

It's more than relevant. Despite the jocular approach.

I would agree, although on a 64 player server the combat might surprisingly work a lot better.

Might very well be. I'm looking forward to it.

On the 19th the day it will be released I doubt servers will work properly or there will be multiple bug crashes or even just finding and connecting to servers through the browser will not work. There is even a possibility all the servers will fill up and sales of the game will explode.

Then I shall wait for patches :D and set up a ATS server. .

In LiF:YO you can always start your local server and play alone. If you're able to solve ports forwarding on your router or you're not behind NAT, then you should be fine and your friends will be able to join you.
It is not necessary to sit on official servers at all.

It would not make sense to nat IP6.

NAT is still a good form of security.
And hell, I'll run IPv4 on my LAN anyway.
I really don't wanna have to remember IPv6 addresses in my head, ever.

Anyway, didn't we get far off topic here? Sorry about that. :sorry:
