Breeding horses

Post by Veda » 28 Oct 2015, 16:45

Hey guys,

I caught some wild horses and put them in a large stable with straw and apples. They were 0-2 years and now they are 15-19. they don't have littles poneys yet :D . Why ??

Is it a bug ? Do in need to give them a different food ?

Did you put them in the breeding box in the middle of the management screen?

I know pretty obvious and highly likely but just checking.

NO ! ABSOLUTLY NO !

a trained horse that become "warhose' cannot breed again

just wait... it may works.... do they run out of food sometimes ? do they produce dung ? do they get better quality ?

What's the quality of the stable you are using? As in, what's its possible max durability? Buildings have quality, quality of breeding buildings seems to effect chance of breeding. I.E. a 10k/10k coop breeds far less than the 20k/20k coop next to it.

Have you used them for riding? There is now bug that if you use your horse (riding on him) it cannot breed after... Also, they have to be 20 or older, have hq food is recomended and some food is better than other.... Apples work just fine.

What if you don't have a breeding pen?

I just started playing LiF about a week ago - I have played it before (like a year ago), but now some things have changed - of course. But I remember the breeding pen, but I do not have that option now. Do you have to unlock it or is there any trick to it?

The breeding pen is now off to the left. There is an icon where one animal is 'mounting' another. Press that and a small panel will open up. Drag the animals there.

It took weeks in real life time before horses would start breeding for us. No exaggeration. Weeks... like 2-3.
