I just downloaded the pre release and go to load life is feudal and it crashes everytime
all i get is send error report when i load it, anyway to fix this?

does your computer fit the new minimum specs? if your videocard can't render DX11, they may no longer give the DX9 option forcing you to upgrade your videocard.

does anyone know if DX9 is still supported at all?

dx9 will disapear, the dx11 is buggy, wait a little more for fixes, they are working hard on it

devs said several times that the dx11 won't change your perf and upgrading your computer isn't necessary

Do you normally play in windowed mode? I do and was crashing every time i clicked on create char, after i switched to full screen i got in the 1st try. Now that i got past char creation i can log in windowed without it crashing.

yes i do how do i make it fullscreen without being able to load the game though?

Hmm can't find a way. So i would suggest Going to Steam/Lif/Betas, switch back to no betas in the drop down box, open game switch to full screen, exit game, turn the beta back on in Steam/Lif/Betas, open game and see if fixed. Sounds like a lot but would only take a couple minutes.

I'm sure 99% of us won't have this issue, however, if you dont have a card that support DX11... it IS a problem. Due to the fact that the game ran DX9 before, people were getting away with running the game on older cards on less than low settings. As the Op hasn't specified his system specs, i think it is a valid question.

The current steam system requirements will NOT work with a DX11 build, the videocards listed are pre DX11:

MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7,8
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5 or AMD Phenom II X4 with at least 2,5 GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 260/Radeon HD 4800/Intel HD 4600 with at least 1024 MB RAM or more and should be a DirectX 10-compatible
DirectX: Version 9.0
Hard Drive: 5 GB available space


you will need at least a Geforce 400+ or a radeon 5450+

Ya i tried all that still just crashes as soon as i load the pre release but the normal version is fine

If you do not have at LEAST:

Geforce 4xx series card or

ATI 5xxx series card,

You will not be able to run this game.

That is the new minimum due to the technological limit of DX11
